CORPORATE WELLBEING

Tailored yoga and meditation to improve team health and wellness

12 Week Program

2020 has been a pretty eventful year for us all, a time when we have had to rethink our normal ways of navigating our day to day life and adapt to changes. It has come with many challenges and difficulties, both internally and externally, illness, stress, changing our working dynamics, loss of loved ones and social isolation, just to name a few.

With the change in working dynamics, more teams are working from home, in bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms etc which is not good for the body nor the mind, and bothneed to be taken care of now more than ever!

So let’s start 2021 as we mean to go on – building a healthy foundation of mental and physical wellbeing! This 12 week program incorporates mindfulness, breath work, movement and nutrition – all elements that will help you navigate with ease through the working day and beyond.

Each session is 45 minutes long, either in person or via Zoom, and is recorded for those members of staff that cannot attend.

If you agree that this would be something that highly benefits your team, simply get in touch!

FAMILIAR HEALTH WORRIES IN 2021:

With COVID came many health impairments and complications, such as:

  • Sleep issues such as insomnia
  • Physical issues due to an increase in stress

Musculoskeletal injuries have always been common within the common workplace, due to sitting at a desk all day and poor desk posture can lead to back issues, as well as carpal tunnel from repetitive strain on the wrists.

More and more often employees often neglect to take lunch breaks, staying at their desks for extended periods of time. They also don’t take time for themselves mentally, which leads to an increase in stress, sadness and tiredness.

Imagine how much more productive team members would be if they took some time to breathe and move their bodies between work shifts.

Looking deeper into everyday issues shows that:

Almost 50% of corporate healthcare costs are lifestyle related and preventable.

Back pain is the largest single reported cause of absence from work each year.

On average back pain costs £200 for every employee in sickness absence costs each year.

30 million sick days were lost in the UK last year due to musculoskeletal conditions.

15 million sick days were lost last year due to stress, anxiety and depression.

Medical costs fall by about £3.27 for every pound spent on wellness programmes and absenteeism costs fall by about £2.73 for every pound spent.

3% of people are working from their kitchens, 20 % from their living rooms and 22% from their bedrooms – which leads to many of the physical problems mentioned above.
